Jaime belongs to the rural community of Urpay, Peru. He is seven years old and tells us he is very happy because his mum Maria has enrolled him at the Huaro Jesuit meal centre. He has been going there for two months and has made many friends. He likes the food and they have taugh him how to wash his hands and teeth. His mentor is called Rosita and she is the person who is with him at lunch time. After lunch he can go to the playcentre to play and also to the library where they help him with his homework. On Fridays he reads the story he loves most. He says that in the meal centre there is always fruit for desert and he likes it a lot, because at home he never used to have fruit at the end of the meals. He also tells us that his mum goes to the workshops of the parent’s school given once a month by the sponsors to the parents of the parish meal centre.
